Lost and Found

From time to time our volunteers are contacted about shelties and other dogs that are lost and/or found in the Central Texas area. If you have either lost or found a sheltie please contact us. We're here to help! We'll also be happy to post descriptions, flyers, and pictures to this page. Please also see our guidelines if you have found a shelties.

Houston Sheltie Sanctuary has some great tips about what to do if you have lost or found a sheltie.

LOST SHELTIE - Saturday night (6-26-2010) one of our shelties, Daphne, somehow got out of the yard, and we haven't been able to find her. We live in the Anderson Mill neighborhood in NW Austin, specifically near the Anderson Mill and Millwright Pkwy intersection. She's actually our shyest sheltie, and we're really worried that she's not going to approach anyone enough to have her tags read. Daphne is almost 7 years old, chubby, and has a great smile. We're her original owners, and we're really worried about her. She's trifactored sable/white.
We can be reached at (512) 584-4433 or (512) 470-8093 or poetcren@yahoo.com
.

FOUND SHELTIE - Male Sheltie found on Lone Man Mountain Rd. in Wimberley on Feb 9. Tan and white, 30 lbs., very gentle. Might be an older dog? He misses his family.

LOST SHELTIE - Shelly got out from her yard last Wednesday 3-12-07 between 5 and 6 pm when the wind took down a section of our fence. She was in the Mallard Park subdivision on Canvas Back drive 2 blocks off Mallard Lane about 3 blocks from the 397 Loop in northwest Taylor. The day Shelly got out she was on Whistlng Way, the street behind ours and was last reported on CR 366 and CR 367 the following day.

Shelly is a blond-merle sheltie female, 15-16" tall and 22-25#. She has a full blaze and full white collar. Her coat is very thick and on the coarse side. She is blonde in the face and back with merle hints throughout her coat. Her eyes are small, one blue, one brown. Another noticeable feature she has is a 2" white spot near her lower back.

She is a total play puppy and is 5 years old this month. She is my second sheltie and my dear friend. Right now I miss my little buddy terribly. I love her very much and would love for her to be reunited with me, my wife and Shelly's buddy, Ewok (he is her real life tuxedo cat playmate-he misses her too).
