Beauregard is a 7 or 8 year old sable and white sheltie. He is neutered and now up to date on all his vaccinations and has had a dental. Sadly Beauregard had not been given heartworm preventive so he tested medium to heavy positive for heartworms and will have to go thru the 3 months of quiet along with the heartworm treatment. Beauregard is a sweet fellow that loves attention, is housetrained, walks well on a leash and gets along great with other dogs and cats. He will be available for adoption in June after he completes heartworm treatment.

Lucy2 – Lucy is a year old Double Merle sheltie, this is the result of breeding a merle (either blue merle or sable) to another merle.  Double Merle shelties are often deaf and/or blind.  Lucy is deaf but she sees just fine.  Lucy was born in February 2016 and was purchased by a retired couple that was unaware of the possibility that she would be deaf and/or blind.   She has been very well loved and cared for but the owners realized that she needs a family that can be more in tune with her needs and energy level.  Lucy stands about 16 inches tall and weighs around 30 pounds, she  is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive.  Lucy is very well mannered, is house trained, leash trained and loves to meet and visit with other dogs and people.  We are working with a deaf interpreter to help her be the best that she can be, her lessons right now are her ‘sign name’, Come, Sit, Stay and ‘ how to celebrate a job well done.
