Dougal came flying in from the Dallas area.  He and his sister, a collie, were surrendered to Freedom Collie Rescue because their owners were going into assisted living.  Collie rescue transferred Dougal, an oversized sheltie to us and we flew him from Ft Worth to Austin.  He is 7 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventive, and soon to have a dental.  He is house trained, leash trained and crate trained.  Dougal is about 16 inches tall and weighs 32 pounds … weight management food is now his diet , he needs to shed about 5 to 8 pounds.

UPDATE:  During Dougal’s vet visit we did complete bloodwork on him and found that his kidney values are not within a comfortable range so we are monitoring him and watching his diet.
