Our beautiful sweet Sissy crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge Friday. Our Austin Rescue was a trouper! She was 14, fought kidney disease a year, some loss of hearing and eyesight and early May the use of her hind legs. We were consumed with her care but would do it again in a minute! She was always gentle and sweet – communicated very well with her bark. We are devastated but know she’s running freely now. Will miss her forever!

Adopted September 2013

Sissy is an recent owner surrender. Sissy is a blue merle sheltie that stands about 13 inches and weighs 16 pounds. She is between 2 and 3 years old. Sissy is now up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, has had a recent dental, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. Sissy is a bit shy and is learning that leashes lead to fun things like walks, outside and going visiting. Sissy gets along well with other dogs and is learning that people are not so scary. She is also crate trained and likes to visit her crate off and on during the day.
